Guam's Location - Global Map


Guam is a small tropical island in the western Pacific located approximately 1,500 miles south of Tokyo and 1,500 miles east of Manila, Philippines. About 160,000 people reside on the 210 square-mile island. Officially, Guam is an unincorporated territory of the United States. The island came under U.S. control in 1898, following Spain's defeat in the Spanish American War. All persons born on Guam are automatically U.S. citizens. Guam hosts an Air Force and Navy base and its tropical climate attracts nearly 1.4 million tourists a year.
